Lyophilizer, or freeze dryer, is an instrument that preserves materials by freezing them and then removing water through sublimation under a vacuum. This process, called lyophilization, involves turning frozen water (ice) directly into vapor, which maintains the structure, nutrients, and bioactivity of sensitive materials like pharmaceuticals, food, and biological samples for extended storage and later rehydration.
Lyophilizer Freeze Dryer , also known as freeze dryer, home freeze dryer, is a small vacuum freeze dryer. Apply to the family, online shop a small amount of freeze-dried use, widely adapted to fruits, meat, vegetables, Chinese herbal medicines, health products, etc. freeze-drying.
Characteristics:
1. Perfect appearance, compact size;
2. Touch screen operation, one key to start, and automatic freeze drying process, easy and convenient;
3. Key components with imported brands, small noise, large capacity, high quality and high performance;
4. Advanced system, with low operating current and low energy consumption;
5. 304 stainless steel food tray and inside liner, safety and easy clean;
6. Transparent organic glass door, the direct observation of food processing;
How a Lyophilizer Works
1. Freezing:
The material containing water is first frozen, transforming the water into ice.
2. Sublimation (Primary Drying):
The frozen material is then placed in a vacuum chamber, reducing the surrounding pressure. Under this low-pressure, high-vacuum condition, the frozen water (ice) transitions directly into a gas (vapor) without melting into a liquid first.
3. Desorption (Secondary Drying):
Any remaining adsorbed water molecules are then removed through a process of desorption, resulting in a completely dry product.
Key Features and Components
Ice Condenser:
A cold surface within the lyophilizer that attracts the water vapor, causing it to solidify again (as ice) and be removed from the product chamber.
Vacuum System:
A vacuum pump creates the necessary low-pressure environment for sublimation to occur.
Control Panel:
A digital touchscreen allows users to control and monitor the freeze-drying cycle, ensuring precise temperature and pressure.
Applications
Lyophilizers are widely used in several industries:
Pharmaceuticals: For preserving vaccines, antibiotics, blood products, enzymes, hormones, and other biological samples.
Food Industry: To preserve food items while retaining their nutrients, color, taste, and appearance, making them shelf-stable.
Research & Development: In labs for the preservation of various biological and chemical samples.
